Mike Tobiason was born and raised in Ramona. He worked with his father Angus for many years before starting his own company in 1982. At the age of 11, Mike would run the belt to load trucks with material at his father’s granite pit as well as a dozer. In high school, Mike and his cousin Tom would make money installing septic systems throughout Ramona. Becoming the prime grader operator for Tobiason Bros. Excavating during high school, Mike continued to operate equipment for his father and uncle, Angus and Art Tobiason.
